Parish Updates...January 3, 2019
A Word from Our Pastor:
I pray that we are all entering the New Year 2019 with a New Spirit! I pray to God that together as a “family of families” at OLHOC, we can all put behind whatever difficulties we may have faced individually and collectively in the last 12 months.
Every year is a new beginning, a spiritual life!
I received positive feedback on the emphasis put this year on
hope and spiritual renewal!
These are not just words. They are the reality of a truly Christian life! St. Paul put it so well when he wrote to the Philippians:
“Brothers and Sisters: Rejoice in the Lord always, I shall say it again: Rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your request known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus”
(Philippians 4:47). We heard this beautiful message on
Sunday (third Sunday of Advent), the Sunday of
! I have kept hearing this message right now through
We are never alone. God’s greatest
to us today is the
