Celebrating A Culture of Life
As the entire Catholic Church is committed to promoting a CULTURE OF LIFE, in a world where life is less and less respected (growing Culture of Death), Archbishop Gregory just sent out a letter to all his brother priests, which I want to share with all of you:
"As you know, Catholics around the world celebrate Re- spect Life Month during the month of October. This year, the National Conference of Catholic Bishops has chosen the theme
Christ Our Hope in Every Season of Life
to guide our effort to promote the dignity of every person during Respect Life Month. This theme is especially fitting here in the Archdiocese of Washington where we face attacks on
October: The Month of the Holy Rosary
The Rosary is a combination of vocal and mental prayer, during which one reflects on the important events in the life of Jesus and Mary.

– The first Friday of each month the evening Mass is said in Latin. This Mass is dedicated to promoting the Priesthood.
—Join members of the Marian Group on the first Saturday of the month after the 9 am Mass. Learn more about consecrating your life to Jesus through Mary.
– Join us on the first Saturday of each month as we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet as a community at 3 PM.

The Life Chain is a prayerful public witness standing in remembrance of the 61 million lives lost to abortion, praying for our nation, for people in crisis situations and for an end to abortion. We will stand and unite in prayer for the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to natural death.

and stay after for fellowship (board games, bring your homework...)
followed by Life Teen from 5-6:30 pm.

on most Sunday afternoons.
Everyone is welcome to join us for our youth gatherings whether or not you attend OLHOC.

Its that time to plan ahead for next summer's 2020 Life Teen Camp.
Camp Covecrest, located in the North Georgia Mountains, is an amazing and
transformative week of fun, activities, time with friends, prayer and growing in your faith
(i.e. high ropes, messy games, obstacle course, zip line, white water rafting, team building experiences, music, talks, reflections, Mass, Adoration & personal growth).

The Archdiocese has recently updated their
Child Protection policies
and have re-instituted
for all adult volunteers (ages 18+), meaning that all future and current volunteers (even if currently cleared under old non-fingerprinting policy) must be fingerprinted unless they have already done so through Virtus.
